Playing the best of Japanese Indies and underground (and other stuff). Music you will hear nowhere else! Mike has been fired from every Tokyo FM station at least once and some of them 4 times! I wear it as a stinky badge of honor because FM in Japan sucks so much. Tune in! Be there!

Mike's Story

Mike Rogers was born in the USA but lives in Japan with his wife. Mike Rogers, also known as Mike "in Tokyo" Rogers, is a dynamic director, producer, and radio host with a rich history in Japanese broadcasting. In 2006, he made headlines as the first foreigner to hold a senior position at a major Japanese station, serving as program director and general manager at TV Tokyo's InterFM. Currently, he hosts the internationally acclaimed "Mike Rogers Show" and contributes to several programs at Love FM 76.1 Kyushu and WFMU in New York. With a career spanning since 1983, he is also recognized for his work on the feature film "Ghostroads – A Japanese Rock N Roll Ghost Story," which premiered at the Raindance Film Festival in 2017.

Mike occasionally helps out with station voiceovers and is a pleasure to have him part of the Shack Radio family!
